It is the invisibility of God that stumbles many. Why can’t we see Him? If He exists but is invisible how do we know He exists at all? I have often heard the analogy of the wind: We know of it through its action but we cannot see it yet we feel it.
But He said, “You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live.
Exodus 33:20
It is reassuring for us to know that God is a power of sorts but to analogize Him to something created of man is not proper. I’ve heard some say that He is atomic power but this is silly on its face. He is not of our minds He is singular in all respects and is without our ability to describe.
Yet, He loves us and this is what we should take away from His accessibility which He has made certain we have through His prophets and HIs words in the bible. He wants us to reach for Him and it is within that reaching that He will see us but always through His Son, Jesus as it was He who sent Jesus to us to die so that we may live forever. No, it is not some cruel joke it is a fact of God, Heaven and our need to worship. There is only one element worthy of worship and it isn’t a graven image it is the invisible of which we can see the works but not the one who created these works.
