Isaiah

The first prophet of the Old Testament was Isaiah. The following is a taste of what he told the Israelites when Israel became head strong and stopped obeying Jehovah God. This is possibly, given the relativity of all the bible, why I was first enthralled and learned to read the bible when I was a lad. I hope that this will also work for you. This is but a small part of what Isaiah told us:

2 Hear me, you heavens! Listen, earth! For the LORD has spoken: “I reared children and brought them up, but they have rebelled against me.

3 The ox knows its master, the donkey its owner’s manger, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand.”

4 Woe to the sinful nation, a people whose guilt is great, a brood of evildoers, children given to corruption! They have forsaken the LORD; they have spurned the Holy One of Israel and turned their backs on him.

I give this to you now because, here, Isaiah tells us also what is happening now. In no small way was his prophecy not also connected to the world we are in today. Call this a warning, if you will, of how not to think of yourself or God for God knows you and you do not want to displease Him.

I recommend reading this book of prophecy if you are just beginning to see that our world is either in, or close to, free fall. This is told us thousands of years ago and also lets us know exactly what to look for. Matthew 24 has Jesus reiterating some of this.
