There is Nothing as Beneficial

Prayer is the entirety of Christianity when it comes down to foundational principles. Prayer is our only means of communicating with our creator. To do this His name, Jehovah, must be considered sacred. In other words and per His admonition: Never use my name in vain. Therefore, we develop the mindset of sanctifying His name.

May people know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

Psalm 83:18

And one called to the other: “Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah of armies. The whole earth is filled with his glory.”

Isaiah 6:3

We are subservient to Jehovah and in this we benefit from His kindness. Realizing that we are naught but Children of God gives us this opportunity to communicate our cares and not have these fall on deaf ears. He alone has, through His Son Jesus, given us a format to use in the Lord’s Prayer. More, this is the structure of how to pray and how to set one’s mind when praying.

Yet, it is not the “one” way to pray. Keeping in mind the Lord’s prayer we may pray of our concerns, our tragedies, our thanks, and our joy. Always keeping our respect and love for God in the forefront of our minds as we do. In turn, He hears and, in some cases, reacts to our benefit.

His reaction is for our good not our supposed need at the time. He sees that which we do not. He sees every outcome and, if our hearts are right, directs us to the right outcome. It is not always what we expect. It is, however, identifiable if we set our minds straight. To do this we need to depart from the influence and expectations of this world. It is only then that the communication is mutual.
