-About Our Times-
16 Jesus went on to say, “In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me.”
17 At this, some of his disciples said to one another, “What does he mean by saying, ‘In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me,’ and ‘Because I am going to the Father’?”
18 They kept asking, “What does he mean by ‘a little while’? We don’t understand what he is saying.”
19 Jesus saw that they wanted to ask him about this, so he said to them, “Are you asking one another what I meant when I said, ‘In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me’?
20 Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.
21 A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world.
22 So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.John 16: 16-22
I chose this parable for today. If you’re unfamiliar with the bible, Jesus spoke in parables or, short vignettes concerning the future. He had to say these things in a way that could be understood in those times for His prophecy of the future could not otherwise be understood.
This is a wonderful example of truth formed in such a way that it needs to be considered before understanding what is meant. Read it, look it up for context and think about our times when all the Bible will become clear. This is what we are seeing and is so fervently being denied by those who have never found their way.
I wish you JOY, especially now as we go through these times when, suddenly, “there is no place safe.” Jesus is, to my best understanding, now in power over Heaven and Earth as has been foretold. This battle we face would not be occurring if He was not in power. This is why the Bible, God’s word, is more important to you now than ever before. God’s word is unchanged since the Beginning. He has always been here and always will be. The choice is yours as He gave all His creation of mankind freedom to choose. Choose wisely and lovingly.
