3Now the serpent was the most cautious of all the wild animals of the field that Jehovah God had made. So it said to the woman: “Did God really say that you must not eat from every tree of the garden?”2At this the woman said to the serpent: “We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden.3But God has said about the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the garden: ‘You must not eat from it, no, you must not touch it; otherwise you will die.’”4At this the serpent said to the woman: “You certainly will not die.5For God knows that in the very day you eat from it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and bad.”6Consequently, the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was something desirable to the eyes, yes, the tree was pleasing to look at. So she began taking of its fruit and eating it. Afterward, she also gave some to her husband when he was with her, and he began eating it.

Genesis 3: 1-6

I try not to make assumptions here in that I have no way of knowing if what I place or write on Sum of Truth is familiar to anyone who comes here. For that reason it occurs to me that many either do not remember or have never read anything from the Bible.

In keeping I have decided to put verses intact here such as the one above: Book of Genesis. The caveat is also from the Bible: Continue in the things that you learned and were persuaded to believe.—2 Tim. 3:14.

The above paragraph tells us of the first sin, which led to death for us as a race of humans. If you understand God He creates nothing imperfect as imperfection cannot come from perfection. Reason on this.

Some will take this as a kindergarten verse and they will be wrong. It is tantamount to beginning to understand that God wrote the Bible, not for something to do, but to explain what we need to know in terms we can understand how events occurred those thousands of years ago.

The Bible is a simple book for anyone to understand on a cursory read. Children or those who haven’t the advantage of going to school can read it. It is in the reading of it in its entirety that the complexity comes forth. The parallels brought forth over 1600 years of writing is what flabbergasts many.

Once read, the Scriptures imprint themselves on your mind and in your heart. Once imprinted life becomes much more tolerable even in the most difficult of times, for you have an understanding of Scripture and that explains the world and its ugliness and shows you the way forward through the melee.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking that the bible is silly, myth, or garbage. It is your lifeline to God, His Son, Jesus, and eternal life. Yes, eternal life does exist.
