“My oh My,” he murmured under his breath, wondering at how many did not believe in what the bible tells us . . . for free. Shaking his head he applied himself to his keyboard to write what was probably not going to be read or taken as it was meant to be. Merely a longform treatise, in many parts, as to why the bible should not be taken for granted.
How should he go about this project? Is it good to quote scripture if some will regard it as bunk? Then, as if he had asked God for assistance, the answer came, rather starkly. Yes, it is My word and My word is best placed in quotes because it is simply written so all can understand it. It is without the immatruity of a human mind, therefore, it needs to reach all people who want to believe, more, know that I am as real as the nose on their face.
It is amazing how answers come with sincere questions of God. Indeed, if belief is not solid these seem to be as passing thoughts when, in reality, these are the answers to yours or my questions. A person prays and then they are required to listen as God does not shout in our faces. He expects us to look for and subtlety find His answers to our prayers. If we keep our minds quiet we will hear His answers. If we spend our time hating or doing things we shouldn’t His replies are drowned out by our loud avarice and disjointed mind set. I call Him, Jehovah when I pray as this is the most used biblical name for Him.
God’s actual name is lost, probably due to the Essenes, a Jewish sect of long ago who decided to hide His actual name as it is sacred and can only be used after formal cleansing of heart, body and mind. He knows this nickname, Jehovah, and will answer more readily if we use it in sincere prayer if our prayer comes to Him through Jesus. It was Jesus who warned us, “Nothing comes to my Father but thorugh me.” Funny, how little things make a huge difference, isn’t it?
