Life Isn’t Fair

by Thec · July 13, 2025

Well, you expected what? Anyone who is old enough to have an awareness of life should have no expectations of “fair.” If that sounds harsh you may not realize the vital importance of human beings being anything more than imperfect. If you think slavery of one race or another is unfair you’d be correct but slavery is old as mankind itself. If you want to get political you must first realize that the caucasian race has been enslaved far longer than any other race. The color of the skin does not matter to God, only how we comport ourselves. Should be easier than it seems but we are not a smart group of humans on this planet. We never will be because we cannot get out of our own way much less the way of others.

By, “our own way,” I mean that we cannot put ourselves aside to understand the heartache of others and giving money to charities keeps us out of helping on a personal level. Taking care of our brothers and sisters is limited to geography, which is why we give to charities. If the charity is doing the good work then perhaps we did a good thing but what about the infirm child down the street or that old man or woman next door? What of that family you know a member of across town who is struggling?

Jesus told us to help our brothers and sisters in need and what He told us came from God Himself so being charitable is Godly. All that Jesus told us is from His Father. Call Him an intermediary of the first order. Faith, Hope, and Charity steers goodness seen in the eyes of God.
