Sum of Truth
It’s been decades of life that have brought me to the belief system I now possess. In some rather distant way, I always “believed” in God; or, at least, in something more to life than what we have the senses to comprehend. By senses I mean, strictly, the senses of smell, sight, taste, touch and feel. These are the senses that keep us alive, for as long as we can. These, however, are not the senses we can use to know God, Jesus, angels or even Heaven. I would think that these are the reasons that it is difficult for people to know that God exists and also is the reason that the bible is disregarded as a myth filled tome.
It is, “in the end,” that matters but the end is something nobody wants to critically consider though the end is truly a fact of life. The end is not something a person can put off. Were it a fact of life that we could put off the end there would be a huge popualtion of people at least 5000 years old. It is a stretch to consider that there is something more to life that we can comprehend and I consider it a given that God may be a concept not understood by many. The concept is that our short time on this planet is somehow not correct because we don’t like being short-changed in years when it takes at least fifty years to sort out that life is far too short. We need more time but, more time does not take place and if a little more time is somehow available that singular life is merely prolonged in a poor state of health. No “high jumps” for one hundred year old people. No “cutting a rug,” either.
It is then that we begin to understand that God is not a concept from ancient people because we have historical records of God moving amongst our ancestors in a form God chose to show our ancestors. Even angels moved amongst our ancestors as related in Ezekiel being shown Heaven as wheels within wheels. Heaven is a large and populated place with much going on, none of which is available to us. It is unavailable because if we could avail ourselves of the divine it would be packaged and sold by corrupt individuals in human form. We are no where near ready to be shown Heaven and God has said that we cannot look upon HIm or we would be destroyed. One might suppose that this means He is a solid and thinking form of dynamic energy behind a veil or Heavenly wall. The power of creation for all things.
What I have placed here is food for thought, because there are many mysteries as concerns Heaven that we have no business understanding due to our puny form of life. If we pass to close to a blackberry bush we get cut and bleed. However, the wonder of it is that, despite our puny form, it is those who understand they are puny who grow a relationship with God and He them. It takes a stronger mind and understanding that we need to humble ourselves, rather than agrandize ourselves, to begin to earn that realtionship. Humility is understanding that, in the end, as mentioned above, we die but death is not the end if we humble oursleves before we reach the end.
This is the concept that is so difficult for those of high mind to comprehend. Yet, all things are possible if we get out of our own way. Belief in God, for some, is a mighty effort requiring adjustment of thought processes before humility is allowed in. Adjustments to thought are always required when life is not working for one. If pursued correctly, in prayer, God avails Himself to you and . . . there is no other way.
